Lenovo ThinkCentre M75q Gen 2 Tiny

The M75q Gen 2 is the AMD Tiny homelab buyers look for. On the AMD PRO 500 chipset it takes Renoir (Ryzen PRO 4000GE) or Cezanne (Ryzen PRO 5000GE) APUs with up to eight cores and 16 threads, the same 35 W class as Intel's T-series. Lenovo lists 64 GB of DDR4-3200 across two SO-DIMMs, plus one M.2 NVMe slot, a 2.5-inch bay, HDMI 1.4b and DisplayPort 1.4, a 10 Gbps front USB-A and a front USB-C. ServeTheHome measured about 12 W idle with both a Ryzen 7 PRO 4750GE and a Ryzen 5 PRO 5650GE, and called the gain over the Gen 1 close to double. Some low-end SKUs used Ryzen 3000 or Athlon chips, so check the exact CPU. Run two DIMMs for dual-channel graphics performance.

Which one to buy

Oct 4, 2026

This snapshot caught 28 M75q Gen 2 listings, split by CPU from a shared M75q search, so treat it as a sample rather than eBay's full count. Most complete units sell for about $210–330 delivered. Confirm the exact CPU, since this chassis shipped with everything from an Athlon to a Ryzen 7 PRO 5750GE, and fill both RAM slots for dual-channel memory; it takes up to 64 GB, which makes it a good Local LLM box. Ask that any BIOS password and Absolute/Computrace enrollment have been cleared.
