Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s SFF

Name: Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s SFF
Brand: Lenovo

The M720s is not a mini PC. It is an 8.4-liter small-form-factor desktop, listed here because it shares CPUs with the M720q. It runs full 65 W 8th/9th-gen desktop CPUs up to the Core i9-9900 on a B360 chipset, with four DDR4 DIMM slots (64 GB), one M.2 NVMe slot, a 3.5-inch bay, a 2.5-inch bay and a slim optical bay, all powered by an internal 180 to 260 W supply. Expansion is one low-profile PCIe x16 and two x1 slots, enough for a low-profile GPU, an HBA or a 10 GbE card. Video is VGA plus two DisplayPorts (no HDMI), and there is a 9-pin serial port. Choose it over a Tiny when you need more drives or real PCIe slots; it is non-vPro.

Check before you buy

Any add-in card must be low-profile (under 68.9 mm tall and 147 mm long); full-height cards will not fit.
There is no HDMI on the motherboard (VGA plus two DisplayPorts), so plan on a DP-to-HDMI adapter or cable.
Check the internal PSU rating (180, 210 or 260 W) before adding a GPU.
Confirm drive brackets and SATA cables are present for the 3.5- and 2.5-inch bays.
Off-lease units can arrive with a BIOS administrator (supervisor) password still set; confirm you can enter BIOS setup before the return window closes.

General off-lease checks (BIOS passwords, Computrace, missing drive caddies) are in the used mini PC buying checklist.
