Lenovo ThinkCentre M710q Tiny

The M710q is Lenovo's B250-chipset 1-liter Tiny for 6th-gen (Skylake) and 7th-gen (Kaby Lake) T-series processors, from Pentium up to the Core i7-7700T. It takes two DDR4 SO-DIMMs (32 GB official), one M.2 NVMe SSD and one 2.5-inch SATA drive, so it makes a tidy Linux, Home Assistant, Pi-hole or light Docker box. ServeTheHome measured 11 to 13 W at idle with an i5-7500T. Video comes from two DisplayPorts; HDMI, VGA, a third DisplayPort and USB-C were build-time options, so many units have no HDMI. There is one Intel gigabit port and no vPro or AMT on this chipset. None of its CPUs are on Microsoft's Windows 11 supported list, so treat it as a Linux or Windows 10 machine.

Check before you buy

General off-lease checks (BIOS passwords, Computrace, missing drive caddies) are in the used mini PC buying checklist.

Buying guide

Which one to buy

Oct 4, 2026

324 M710q listings are active, and most complete units sell for about $85–120 delivered. Prioritize a quad-core i5 or i7 (a 7th-gen 7xxxT runs memory faster than a 6th-gen 6xxxT) with 8 GB and an SSD, and check that the 65 W Lenovo adapter is included, since many off-lease units ship without one. No M710q CPU is officially supported by Windows 11, so treat 'Win 11 Pro' titles with caution and plan on Windows 10 or Linux. Skip the $308 i7-6700T listing, about three times the going rate.
