HP EliteDesk 800 G6 Desktop Mini

The EliteDesk 800 G6 Desktop Mini moved HP's 1-liter business PC to 10th-gen Comet Lake on the Q470 chipset, with T-series CPUs from the Core i3-10100T to the i9-10900T plus 65 W versions. Its Hyper-Threaded six- and eight-core chips give much more multithread headroom than the G4 and G5. Storage is two M.2 NVMe slots plus an optional 2.5-inch bay, RAM goes to 64 GB over two SO-DIMMs, and the onboard NIC is an Intel I219-LM. The Flex IO V2 port can take a factory 2.5 GbE (i225) module. It's one of the stronger used 1-liter picks for Proxmox, containers or Plex, but plan on a 90 W adapter because STH found 65 W bricks too small.

General off-lease checks (BIOS passwords, Computrace, missing drive caddies) are in the used mini PC buying checklist.

Buying guide

Which one to buy

Oct 4, 2026

226 EliteDesk 800 G6 Minis are listed, and most complete units run $210–300 delivered, with an i5-10500T, 16 GB and an NVMe SSD from about $208. Check the CPU: 65 W chips (i5-10500, i5-10600, i7-10700) run louder under load than the 35 W T-series, and either way ask for a 90 W or larger HP adapter, because older 65 W bricks aren't enough. Confirm there's no BIOS admin password, and skip asks near double the median.
