Lenovo

Lenovo ThinkCentre M715q Tiny (1st Gen, AMD A-series)

The first-generation M715q is an AMD version of Lenovo's 1-liter Tiny, built on the B300 chipset with AMD PRO A6, A10 or A12 APUs (8000-series Carrizo and 9000-series Bristol Ridge, two or four cores, Radeon R5/R7 graphics). It has two DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM slots (32 GB), one M.2 SSD slot that takes SATA or NVMe drives, a 2.5-inch bay, two DisplayPorts, and Realtek gigabit Ethernet with AMD DASH management. Rear USB is one USB 3.0 port and three USB 2.0 ports. These APUs are far slower than the Ryzen chips in the 2nd-gen M715q that uses the same name, and none are on Microsoft's Windows 11 list. Buy one only as a very light single-purpose Linux box, and read the CPU in the listing carefully.

Buying guide

Which one to buy

Oct 4, 2026

28 first-gen M715q listings turned up in our search, and most complete units run about $90–160 delivered. These use AMD A-series chips (A6, A10, A12), which are much slower than the Ryzen-based 2nd Gen and aren't supported by Windows 11, so plan on Windows 10 or Linux whatever the title says. The A12-9800E is the strongest chip; look for 8 GB or more and an SSD rather than a 500 GB hard drive, and confirm Lenovo's 65 W adapter is included. 'R7' in a title is the Radeon graphics, not a Ryzen 7.
