Minisforum UM790 Pro (Ryzen 9 7940HS)

The UM790 Pro is Minisforum's Ryzen 9 7940HS mini PC: 8 Zen 4 cores, Radeon 780M graphics and a Ryzen AI NPU. It takes two DDR5-5600 SO-DIMMs up to 64 GB and two PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs, and has two 40 Gbps USB4 ports on the front, two HDMI 2.1 outputs, four 10 Gbps USB-A ports and a single Realtek 2.5 GbE port. ServeTheHome measured just 5-7 W at idle and 80-85 W under load from its 120 W adapter, and noise only 1-2.5 dBA above its studio floor. That makes it an unusually efficient, quiet 780M box for a desktop, a 24/7 home server or light gaming. Limits: one Ethernet port and no 2.5-inch bay.

Which one to buy

Oct 4, 2026

This snapshot caught 10 UM790 Pro listings (eBay's own count mixes in other UM790 variants, so we don't quote it), and most complete 32 GB units ask about $675–925 delivered. Every unit has the same Ryzen 9 7940HS, so compare RAM, SSD and whether the 120 W 19 V adapter is included; a barebones unit is far cheaper but needs DDR5-5600 SO-DIMMs and an NVMe SSD. Avoid the identical '32GB Win11 Radeon 780M' title that also appears under a zero-feedback seller, and the 94.6% seller asking $941 for a unit with no RAM.
