Minisforum UM690 (Ryzen 9 6900HX)
The UM690 is Minisforum's Ryzen 9 6900HX mini PC: 8 Zen 3+ cores and Radeon 680M (RDNA 2) graphics, enough for 1080p gaming at lower settings. It takes two DDR5 SO-DIMMs and one PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, and a 2.5-inch drive can be mounted on the bottom cover with the supplied cable. Networking is a single Intel i225 2.5 GbE port, and it has one USB4 port plus two HDMI outputs. ServeTheHome measured 8-10 W at idle and 65-75 W peak from the 120 W adapter, and found it quieter than the Beelink GTR6. Two caveats from that review: the DDR5 ran hot under sustained GPU load, and getting inside means peeling off the adhesive rubber feet.

Check before you buy
- Getting inside means peeling off the rubber feet, so check they are still attached and sticky; missing feet suggest someone has opened it.
- Make sure the 120 W 19 V adapter is included.
- Ask whether the 2.5-inch drive cable is present if you plan to add a SATA drive; it mounts on the bottom cover.
- The UM690S, UM690 Pro and UM690L Slim are related but separate listings; confirm which one you are buying, because ports and chassis differ.
General off-lease checks (BIOS passwords, Computrace, missing drive caddies) are in the used mini PC buying checklist.
