ASUS NUC 14 Pro
The NUC 14 Pro is sold under the ASUS name after ASUS took over Intel's NUC business, and ASUS bills it as its first commercial AI NUC. It moves to Core Ultra Series 1 (Meteor Lake) H-series chips from the Ultra 5 125H to the vPro Ultra 7 165H, with Intel Arc graphics and an NPU; ASUS also lists a cheaper Core 3 100U model. Memory is DDR5-5600 across two SO-DIMMs (96 GB max), with an M.2 2280 and an M.2 2242 NVMe slot, plus a 2.5-inch bay on the tall chassis. It has 2.5 GbE, two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a tool-less bottom cover. STH measured 8-9 W idle on the Ultra 7 165H. It's a modern, fast mini for Plex or Jellyfin with Arc media engines, or for Proxmox, but the Wi-Fi is soldered.

Check before you buy
- Check slim vs tall chassis, because only the tall version has the 2.5-inch SATA bay.
- Confirm the CPU: the Core 3 100U model isn't Meteor Lake and lacks Arc graphics, and only the Ultra 5 135H and Ultra 7 165H have vPro.
- Kits ship without RAM or storage, so confirm what's included and use DDR5 SO-DIMMs.
- Make sure the ASUS 120 W adapter is included with Core Ultra units.
General off-lease checks (BIOS passwords, Computrace, missing drive caddies) are in the used mini PC buying checklist.
